Pure Autonomic Failure (PAF) Research Study

Study Summary:

Clinilabs is looking for adults who experience neurogenic orthostatic hypotension (nOH) due to Parkinson’s disease or pure autonomic failure (PAF) to join an inpatient research study.

There is no cost to participate. We encourage you to review the participation requirements listed below.

Study Qualifications:

• Be between the ages of 18 and 85 years old
• At least 110lbs in weight
• Diagnosed with symptomatic orthostatic hypotension (nOH) due to Parkinson’s disease or pure autonomic failure (PAF)
• Has a stable medication regimen for 3 months before screening
• Able and willing to:
  • Attend visits in either Eatontown, New Jersey, or Midtown Manhattan, New York
  • Available for 1 pre-study visit, 1 inpatient stay (4-nights/5-days), and a follow-up call (over 4 weeks)
  • Complete on-site pre-qualification testing, including, but not limited to, ECG, urinalysis, and bloodwork
  • If qualified, take the study drug and placebo

Study participants may receive compensation up to $2,400 for their time, participation, and travel. Total Compensation is dependent on the number of Visits & Stays completed.

• $175 – Outpatient Screening Visit
• $400 – Inpatient Visit (per night)
• $175 – Early Discharge from Inpatient Visit
• $50 – Follow-up phone call
• $70 – Round-trip travel visit reimbursement to Clinilabs research center, with receipts

If you need transportation arranged for you, we can arrange your travel through a car service agency; reimbursement will not be provided.

Study Schedule:

The study duration will include 1 pre-study visit, 1 inpatient stay (4-nights/5-days), and a follow-up call (over 4 weeks).
