Kevin E. Steel, D.O., FACC, FSCCT, FSCMR 

Kevin Steel, D.O., FACC, FSCCT, FSCMR, is a board-certified cardiologist, retired U.S. Air Force colonel, and internationally recognized expert in cardiac MRI. He received his medical degree from AT Still University and completed advanced training at Brooke Army Medical Center, Wright-Patterson Medical Center, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and Harvard Medical School, where he specialized in advanced cardiac imaging. 

Dr. Steel developed the Department of Defense’s largest cardiac imaging service at San Antonio Military Medical Center and currently serves as director of cardiac MRI at PeaceHealth in Washington. With over 20 years of cardiology experience, he has helped establish cutting-edge cardiac MRI programs across hospitals and collaborates with software developers to improve diagnostic tools. 

His research focuses on noninvasive imaging, including MRI, CT, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. He has authored or co-authored 46 publications on myocardial infarction, heart failure, atherosclerosis, and more. Dr. Steel is a fellow of multiple cardiovascular societies.
