Harald Murck, M.D. 

Harald Murck, M.D., did his training in psychiatry and psychotherapy at the Max-Planck-Institute of Psychiatry in Munich, Germany, and is currently Apl. Professor for Psychiatry at Philipps-University Marburg, Germany. He researches the mechanisms of CNS disorders with a focus on the neurobiology of major depression and personalized medicine approaches. 

He has more than 20 years of experience working with both small biotech and large pharmaceutical companies. He oversaw and was a key contributor to the development of compounds in psychiatric indications (major depression, schizophrenia, central pain disorders, cognitive dysfunction) and movement disorders (Huntington’s disease and Parkinson’s disease). Murck has extensive experience in early- and late-stage clinical development and has a passion for translational research. He is the author of more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters. He also holds a patent in the area of biomarker-driven personalized treatment of major depression.
