Dr. Gary Zammit founded Clinilabs in 2000 with a clear vision of establishing a specialized Contract Research Organization (CRO) focused on advancing the development of Central Nervous System (CNS) drugs and devices. As an award-winning entrepreneur, he has earned a strong reputation for his expertise in neuropsychiatric drug development and sleep medicine.
Dr. Zammit is the President and CEO of Clinilabs and is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the prestigious Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Zammit earned his Ph.D. from the University of Toledo in Ohio, where he was awarded the distinguished Turin Service Award and the Leckie Scholar Award for his exemplary research in biological psychiatry. His career includes an internship and clinical research fellowship in the esteemed Department of Psychiatry at New York Hospital – Cornell University Medical College (now the New York Presbyterian – Westchester), where he received the Alumni Award for Excellence.
A prolific author, Dr. Zammit has published over 260 scientific papers and abstracts, and three books.
