Chelsea McCabe is a seasoned clinical research executive with deep expertise in Phase 1 development. She has a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, driving operational efficiency, and strengthening strategic partnerships across the pharmaceutical and CRO landscape.
As Manager of Oncology Research Project Management at Hackensack Meridian Health’s John Theurer Cancer Center, Chelsea established and scaled new project management and research coordination functions, overseeing 500+ active clinical trials and more than 1,000 patients annually. Under her leadership, the site achieved top national rankings with key pharmaceutical sponsors and secured over $22 million in annual research revenue. She has successfully negotiated and managed partnerships with leading sponsors and CROs, spearheaded implementation of AI-driven patient identification pre-screening tools, and standardized trial operations across a 13-hospital research network.
With specialized expertise in early-phase development, Chelsea has managed Phase 1 programs throughout the full lifecycle, consistently improving enrollment and revenue performance. She is recognized for her ability to design and implement data-driven operational models, optimize financial and compliance processes, and foster collaboration between Sponsors, Investigators, and site teams.
