Paul Michael Ramirez, Ph.D., is a retired professor of neuroscience, neuropsychology, psychopathology, and psychopharmacology at Long Island University in New York City. He earned his Ph.D. in psychology from The City College of CUNY, specializing in clinical neuropsychology, and later completed a postdoctoral program in psychopharmacology at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Ramirez is the co-founder and CEO of the Prophase Training Group (now MedAvante/ProPhase) and has delivered over 200 professional presentations worldwide. He has provided rater training for CNS scales and cognitive assessments across five continents. A former chair of the New York State Board for Psychology, he has also held leadership roles in multiple professional organizations. Ramirez has served as a principal investigator on NIH, NCI, and industry-sponsored studies and co-authored the Informant Questionnaire for the PANSS (IQ-PANSS) and its official Japanese translation. He currently serves on the editorial board of Dataset for Medicine (Psychiatry).
