Luana R. C. Pesco Koplowitz, M.D., Ph.D., FCP, FFPM, is a seasoned clinical pharmacologist and drug development expert with decades of experience across industry, academia, and regulatory strategy. She earned her M.D. from Rutgers Medical School and Ph.D. from Rutgers College of Pharmacy and Columbia Pacific University. A fellow of both the American College of Clinical Pharmacology and the UK Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine, Pesco Koplowitz currently serves as president and chief medical and scientific officer of DUCK FLATS Pharma, LLC, specializing in translational medicine, clinical pharmacokinetics, and regulatory consulting.
She has held senior leadership roles at Janssen, Knoll, Fujisawa, and Bristol-Myers Squibb and has contributed to numerous successful INDs and NDAs. An adjunct professor at the University of Miami and the Medical Center of Delaware, she serves on advisory committees for the FDA and has authored over 30 publications. Her specialties include pediatric and neonatal drug development, cardiovascular safety, and translational pharmacology.
