Kevin Steel, DO, FACC, FSCCT, FSCMR is a retired Air Force Colonel with the United States Air Force, Medical Corps and Board-Certified Cardiologist. He received his medical degree from AT Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon his return to San Antonio, Dr. Steel went on to develop the Department of Defense’s largest advanced cardiac imaging service at the San Antonio Military Medical Center (a busy cardiac MRI program for the community of San Antonio).

Dr. Steel is an internationally recognized expert in cardiac MRI, specifically MRI stress tests, and has over 20 years of experience as a cardiologist. He is a member of the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and is the current Director of Cardiac MRI at PeaceHealth in Bellingham, Washington. His scientific areas of interest include noninvasive cardiac studies, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography.
Working with multiple hospitals and clinics, Dr. Steel helps to develop state-of-the-art cardiac MRI programs as well as software developers to create accurate and user-friendly MRI reading products.
As an expert in cardiology, Dr. Steel has been the author and co-author of 46 publications referencing cardiology, echocardiography, magnetic resonance, imaging, myocardial infarction, computed tomography, hypertension, heart failure, clinical cardiology, atherosclerosis, and atrial fibrillation.
