Gary Zammit, PhD
Dr. Gary Zammit founded Clinilabs in 2000, driven by a clear vision to create a specialized Contract Research Organization (CRO) dedicated to advancing the development of Central Nervous System (CNS) drugs and devices. As an award-winning entrepreneur, he is highly regarded for his neuropsychiatric drug development and sleep medicine expertise. Currently, Dr. Zammit holds the position of President and CEO of Clinilabs, serves as a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the prestigious Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, and is recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Zammit earned his Ph.D. from the University of Toledo in Ohio, where he received the distinguished Turin Service Award and the Leckie Scholar Award for his exemplary research in biological psychiatry. His career includes an internship and clinical research fellowship in the esteemed Department of Psychiatry at New York Hospital – Cornell University Medical College, where he was honored with the Alumni Award for Excellence. A prolific author, he has published two books and over 250 articles and abstracts focused on CNS drug development.
